GMC Yukon

The Superbowl. A renowned Hungarian film studio. The premier American automaker. What do they all have in common?

Us.

You see, when GM wanted to put together an inspirational spot for its new Yukon, they knew exactly what they wanted to use: Marcel Jankovics’ Oscar-nominated short “Sisyphus.” But first, they had to get permission to use what’s considered to be a Hungarian national treasure. With time running tight, GM managed to forge an agreement with the Hungarian film studio Pannónia.

Then it was our turn. We received the short as a digital file, then bumped up the resolution and cleaned up the footage. The Yukon came next, and since it wasn’t in production yet, we put it together with CAD data and made sure it looked every bit as inspirational as the footage preceding it. The spot made the Superbowl and that made all the late nights worth it.

Like Sisyphus, we never stop pushing.
