We were so excited to be a part of this fun movie franchise. Our role here was to stereoscopically convert the movie that was shot in 2D to S3D. With a run time of 89 minutes we converted 128,160 frames for the left eye and another 128,160 frames for the right eye – a whopping 256,320 frames in total. What did the studio think of our work? We’ll let the legendary filmmaker tell you himself:
“The quality of Speedshape’s 3D conversion was remarkable, even blending seamlessly with footage that was shot stereo. They were able to turn over first-rate work quickly and they were amazing to work with,” adds the award-winning director. “The end result was a fun family movie with high quality 3D effects that introduced another element of interaction to the audience.”
